Let’s make an holiday espresso martini

Espresso Martini with Baileys & Vanilla Cold Foam

Ingredients

For the espresso martini

  • 1½ oz vodka

  • 1 oz Baileys Irish Cream

  • 2 freshly brewed espresso shots

  • ½ oz coffee liqueur (optional, for deeper coffee flavor)

  • Ice

For the vanilla cold foam

  • ¼ cup cold heavy cream or milk (whole or oat milk works too)

    ½–1 tsp vanilla bourbon paste

  • Optional: 1–2 tsp Baileys (for extra flavor in the foam)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make the vanilla cold foam

  1. Add cold cream/milk and vanilla to a milk frother, handheld frother, or jar.

  2. Froth until thick, creamy, and pourable.

  3. Set aside in the fridge to keep cold.

2. Prepare the espresso martini

  1. Brew espresso and let it cool slightly (hot espresso can dilute the drink).

  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  3. Add vodka, Baileys, espresso, and coffee liqueur (if using).

  4. Shake hard for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and frothy.

3. Serve

  1. Double strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.

  2. Gently spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam on top.

4. Garnish (optional)

  • Coffee beans

  • Cocoa powder

  • Finely grated chocolate
