A Modern Holiday Card Alternative

(for parents who gave up on capturing the perfect holiday pictures)

If you’re reading this, congratulations: you have officially received our holiday card.

Once upon a time, I imagined sending out beautiful holiday cards. You know the kind:

• Matching outfits

• Soft natural lighting

• A calm, cheerful child who understands the concept of “just one picture”

Instead, I have a toddler whose hobbies include:

• Sprinting away the moment a camera appears

• Making unhinged facial expressions on purpose

• Yelling “NO THANK YOU” to sitting

And truth be told, some years we master it, and others, not so much. So rather than fight physics and a very strong-willed small human, I chose peace. And by peace, I mean calling this blog post our holiday card.
